Organizational Work

I like to get involved with my community wherever I go. While studying at Fullsail, I founded and led an organization called the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition to give Asian and Polynesian students a place to get connected with one another and find representation. In my time in the Philippines, I was also leading a small church community that helped college students find friends and deal with their new adult lives.

Being a part of my local community is very important to me and it's also how I like to make friends. Whether that takes the form of a school organization or a small group trying to put on a play for charity, I just like to get involved in any way that I can. To be honest, it might be an excuse for me to make friends and find things to do but, I enjoy it nonetheless.

While at Fullsail, I started my school organization to represent Asian and Pacific Islander students. I founded the organization to give students like me, far away from their home in Asia, a place to connect with others and share their culture with other students.

Our organization put on cultural events for Fullsail students and faculty and became involved with several other organizations around the Orlando, Florida area. We put on events, did public performances, and brought our culture to other students in faculty.

My role as president saw me spearheading event planning and bringing together students as event staff or crew. I also hosted most of our events as emcee and was in charge of recruitment for organization member.s
